This year will be
the 15th year that BEST4GOLF has organized
and hosted a SCPGA Pro Am in Mexico. We are proud to have
played an important role in this tradition

incoming President of the Southern California Chapter along
with Tom Addis invite you and your club to organize a team
consisting of ONE SCPGA Professional and four amateur members to
compete in this years SCPGA PRO AM in Los Cabos - October 11-15,
2009.
Our friend and
colleague, Cass Colbourne was working with us on this event and
was looking forward to our success and be in Los Cabos to welcome
you. In his honor we would like to memorize this event in his name
and carry on his true spirit, love of golf, his huge heart for his
friends and family.
Three rounds
of championship golf has been schedule for the SCPGA PRO AM event
The Golf Club
at Puerto Los Cabos is a unique blend of Nicklaus and Norman…an
award winning course you must play with majestic views of the
Sea of Cortez.
Club Campestre
San Jose is a Nicklaus course voted best’s new Resort Golf course
in 2008. Excellent conditioning and well maintained from tee to green
this is a course to write home about.
Our third round
is at the veteran Cabo Real Golf Club, a beautifully design by
Robert Trent Jones, with three seaside holes. Elevation
changes and vistas make this course one of the favorites in Los Cabos.
The Stableford
format with handicaps and quotes make for a most interesting and
fair event. Points for Boogie, pars, birdie and eagles makes for
strategic golf each hole only four of the players scores are
counted so an errant shot doesn’t ruin your round…a new lease on
life. Prizes for teams, Purse for PGA Golf
Professional on both the team score and his individual efforts are
all part of the festivities.
The Deluxe Oceanfront Hilton Los
Cabos will be our headquarters through out the week. If you have
your own accommodations no problem; come by for the great functions
planned each day. A welcome cocktail party starts the agenda,
followed by great steaks and seafood at Ruth Chris in Cabo San
Lucas. Our farewell event is off the charts with awards, cocktails,
and dinner and world class live Rock Music from headline
legends musicians and dance into the night in our VIP area. Live
and Silent auction items will get your attention as announced by
Uncle Buck, radio host of AZ golf, daily talk show host.

The
Golf Club at Puerto Los Cabos is an award winning layout with a
composite design consisting of 9 holes from the Jack Nicklaus design
and 9 holes from the Greg Norman design.
This
unique opportunity will allow players to experience the difference in
design philosophies and enjoy a "sneak-peek" of the future work to
come. Never before has work from these great designers been used to
create 18 holes.
The
initial offering will be our Composite Course, which consists of 9
holes from the Mission Course, designed by Greg Norman, and 9 holes
from the Marina Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
